College Job

Sales Associate and Stock Associate (Former Employee)
Chicago, IL (US)

I worked at Zara part-time for more than a year

ProsThey sell awesome clothes, and you get to wear a neat uniform which for men changes consistently. Commissioned from sales + hourly which isn't awful.

ConsBad communication through management. Really ridiculous rules that they try to enforce. Not thorough training for some associates.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter training, organization and communication.

Neither here nor there

Sales Assistant (Former Employee)

I worked at Zara part-time for more than a year

ProsStaff culture was very relaxed and was flexible about changing shifts if necessary.

All staff are given a uniform which is very handy (particularly as the men's uniform was a suit!)

ConsThe wage was basic (but I suppose that is unsurprising). Some poor management at times but I expect this is something which would vary on a store by store basis and is almost inevitable in high-street retail.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet good store and department managers in to compliment the excellent range of merchandise and you can't go wrong!
