Current Employee – been working at eBay full-time for more than 7 years

Pros – Only eBay/PayPal facilities are good .

Cons – Very bad practice in recognition of the employee's contributions ..always biased in promotions and in decisions making.Employees rarely get a chance for the promotion to next level or next role

No work from home facility available for production support guys, which is very rediculous thing when compare to other small companies.There are so many constrains on WFH.

At one bad day it did layoffs all of sudden and also simultaneously it was trying to recruit the external staff from outside sources ..not sure why it is unable to utilize the long serviced employees instead of getting from outside .It shows that lack of commitement for the company so as to help the existing employees and don't care about the employee safe guards at all and by any means employee's concerns are not respected

Advice to Senior Management – Senior management should get trained in managing the professionals .It should watch every one's direct reportee's performance very closely.

Only one thing I can say to the senior management our life time is very short, so in this short period of time, we should not play any politics , which will cost you unwanted diseases so always play the role like father where father should not show any partiality towards any of his progeny, similarily they also should pay attention to all the employees equally.

If somebody is unable to perform his role, then happily he could resign from the services, instead of troubling others unnecessarily.They need to keep in mind that working with multi cultured people, so act accordingly

Cons – I am too bored right now. Nothing much interesting to do for me. Want some change to happen

Pros – 1. Brand name
2. Good Work-life balance
3. Decent package
4. Good career opportunities - There are lot of options to choose from - within the company and one can grow well if they have the self-drive and motivation.

Cons – Not really a technology oriented company. When it comes to technology, they are followers rather than creators! So, you won't be learning much w.r.t technology over there.
When it comes to India, the quality of work is also not that good. India center does not take complete ownership of product/feature in true sense. You will always have to rely on management @ SJC to drive something new here @ India - which is very disgusting many times.

Advice to Senior Management – I think they have to be more proactive with respect to technology. Technology should drive innovations rather than business problems driving the creation of solution.

Pros – the work culture is just fantastic.You work when you wanna work and that on of reasons for everyone to enjoy the work they do. The senior manger that ima working is just the dream manager to have as that person.

Cons – the management staff quality is not same under every manager. the work at ebay india lacks some research input

Advice to Senior Management – I mean the Kind of Manager that I ma working is the idol one for any employer.Very supportive,very knowledgeable,highly respected.The only thing lacking is the amount of time devoted towards employees.

Cons – I couldn't think of any one in particular but there are politics in management which are present in any organisation

Pros – Technology and domain is very good. There are ample opportunities for growth.
Very flexible in office work timings and culture.

Cons – They have internal frameworks for J2EE , webservice and similar modules. It kind off closes you to the external world or makes relating to latest tech's difficult.

Pros – Very less work; enjoy your day throughout;
Good care of its employee; in terms of food; indoor games etc.

Cons – The company takes ostrich approach. They boasts vaguely of their sales although its going down steeply. There is no new ideas within the firm.
70% employee are contract based. Not much to learn. No career growth.
Salary is grossly less. Campus hires are promised more and paid less.
Chennai is worst; stay away from there.

Advice to Senior Management – Look outside and see how your competitors are growing.. dont boast of your sales blindly
