I have been working at iGate full-time for more than a year

Pros – Friendly work culture and environment, manageable pressure, management brings up many employee engagement activities which is commendable, fair opportunity for growth, all in all it is a safe company to work for.

Cons – meager salary, impossible ,meaningless expectations from employees like compelling to use to skywalk when there is a direct entry gate to respective buildings; taking skywalk means 15mins of additional walking which gets quite frustrating in case you have important client meetings ahead and you are already running late.

Advice to Senior Management – For heavens sake get the skywalk policy altered. Also, please work on better compensation packages

Pros – Good Infra and Work Environment
Offers plans for higher studies M.S BITS Pilani (You need to sign a bond for continueservice in company for 2 years but for a fresher, its still Ok)
Good Amenities

Cons – Learning curve becomes flat after some point. Few Projects, hence unable to mobilize and learn new technologies, new platform etc.. as its really difficult to get released from a lively project when career growth being the only reason

Advice to Senior Management – Implement policies which can improve the learning opportunities for every employee, currently the trainings offered are not really that great and the company does not encourage employees to undergo any external certification programs, which is present in other companies.

Pros – Get visiblity on your performance as the company size is small and has an excellent growth rate.
May get an oppertunity to handle lots of things since lot of small projects and less man power allocated.

Cons – Typical indian policies in terms of remuneration and benifits.

Advice to Senior Management – good for experience holders from 3 to 5 years

One can learn and grow very fast.

Cons – CTC is a bit low compared to another competitive companies

Pros – For the outside world, it seems all good. But honestly, it is rotting inside. Only good thing about this place is that they pay on time. On the last working day of every month, you have some cash in the bank. No matter how little it is.

Cons – Not a place if you want to break the mould.

Pros – Good environment and opportunities for freshers,
good longterm onsite opportunities,
if you take initiatives, you will get lot of opportunities to grow.
best in class medical benefits for US onshore employees.

Cons – Non-existent mid level management.
Poor retention from 2+ yrs at offshore,
No long term career planning for high performing employees.
Policy of phasing out people once employment bond completes to replace "high cost" employees with low cost freshers.
Poor HR policies
Pathetic salaries (worst in class)

Advice to Senior Management – You can not compete on cost alone over a longer term.
If you do not retain "best employees" someone else will make good use of them.
Don't compromise on quality for cost.
Micro-management means there is a limit to how much you can scale up.

Advice to Senior Management – managers are the decision makers for your growth

Pros – Good company for starting up your career. Good onsite opportunities.

Cons – No normalization done with regard to salary for long term employees, no bonus. A bad payer. No employee morale.

Advice to Senior Management – Please don't watch the time spent in office. Watch only the amount and quality of work done. Also, please look into employee morale then restricting them by doing anything.
