The Role: Trainee UK medical sales reps are based in the field and typically visit GPs, practice managers, nurses and pharmacists within Primary Care and potentially visit hospitals within a specific geographical territory. A typical day will be a mix of formal appointments and speculative calls promoting pharmaceutical or healthcare products to healthcare professionals. You will undergo an initial training course which will provide you with knowledge of specific products, therapy areas and how to promote them in a very competitive environment.

Successful sales reps, who have achieved their sales targets and activity results, will be rewarded by bonus opportunities and the chance to develop and progress within their career.

Skills & Experience Required:

Educated to degree level or equivalent - Scientific degree or A-Level

Willing to study for industry qualification

Strong commercially aware graduates/trainees with targeted sales experience

Good understanding of the role of a Medical Sales Representative and of the NHS

An understanding of key stakeholders within the NHS

Motivated and ambitious with the drive to succeed in the world of sales

Resilient, flexible

Evidence of an ability to exceed sales targets

Excellent communication & influencing skills

Ability to work autonomously and within a team

A strong work ethic

Proactive with a can do attitude

Eligibility to work full-time in the UK

Driving licence valid for the UK (no more than 6 points)
