SUMMARY
To manage and administer all aspects of the Oshkosh Corporation product line in which the job responsibilities relate to. Develop and execute marketing plans for Oshkosh commercial group products. To manage and be accountable for all aspects of the pertinent product line, including market share and product profitability. Work with cross-functional groups and positions to maintain a strong product team. To develop effective communication and a positive working relationship with other company employees, product team members, supervisors, managers, and distribution network to ensure a team effort in achieving short and long-term company goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and update Multi generational product and other marketing plans, analyze strategies and forecasts
Develop and maintain specifications, proposals, pricing and other technical data pertaining to the sales of Oshkosh products
Communicate effectively and positively with Sales Department, Distribution Network and customers in specific product areas needing clarification or resolution
Develop and publish product updates related to changes in our product offerings
To develop and host various focus meetings with Sales Representatives and customers in order to be aware of the changing needs and demands of the market
Plan, develop and approve all advertising, brochures, video tapes, website and media articles on Oshkosh products
Facilitate and lead the Product Management team that includes, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Planned and actual direct cost performance of our products
Resource allocation for product development
Product improvement
Warranty reduction
Participate in market analysis and develop new product ideas pertaining to Oshkosh products required to increase market share
Prepare and present appropriate business plans for new product development or acquisitions.
Participate in related product development teams keeping the customer focus and market needs in front of the project teams
Compile analysis and record information on competitor products, identify strengths and weaknesses of their products and utilize this information to develop product strategies that increase market share and contribution margins
Focus on contribution margin growth through product cost reduction measures
Participate in trade shows and seminars as required. Participate in various training programs such as mini sales schools, sales meetings and internal sales and product training as required
To carry out special assignments and projects that fall within the scope of this description. To maintain open communication with the Sale Department, Product Group and appropriate personnel, reporting on all developments and concernsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in related field
