About the Senior Public Relations Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Public Relations Specialist with a proven track-record of generating positive press coverage, promoting brand awareness, and increasing website traffic. The Senior Public Relations Specialist will be primarily responsible for promoting our free online courses and managing relationships with prominent media contacts to achieve exposure for the company.

Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive PR strategy to grow market share, increase visibility and advance the company’s thought leadership

Respond to inquiries for information and pitch news and story ideas to media to generate positive press coverage

Identify, research, write and prepare pitches and news releases

Grow traffic for Education Portal’s free courses

Increase brand recognition for Education Portal

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience at a PR agency or corporate PR department

Strong online networking and rapport building skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Passionate about making education accessible

Strong writing and editing skills

Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PR, specifically in the education sector

Expertise in SEO
