comprehensive health and retirement; quickly accruing sick and vacation hours
The health care options and other benefits are great. You can obtain coverage for domestic partners of same or different gender. Excellent incentives for green commuting as well.
The City of Portland provides healthcare, dental and vision insurance. The Employee Assistance Program offers gym membership discounts, a limited number of free visits to a mental health provider, childcare/adoption assistance, and other options.
Vacation is two weeks for the first 5 years then increasing to three weeks, 3.5 weeks at 10 years, 4 weeks at 15 years, 4.5 weeks at 20 years and topping out at 5 weeks at 25 years of service. Up to two full years of the most recent accrual can be carried in January of each year. Also for full time employees health benefits are paid for dependents as well.
Best benefits around. Very low cost for medical, dental and vision. Employer contribution to retirement after 6 months regardless of employee contribution. And much much more.
Amazing healthcare benefits through Moda Health or Kaiser Permanente. Rarely have to pay much out of pocket. Eligible for FSA card for healthcare and dependent care.
Dental care for sure. Wide variety of places to go and many options as far as tiers of coverage to choose from. I went for the medium tier and it serves my family quite well. Vision care is great as well, my kids need glasses so that is important to us.
Excellent benefits package, including City paid PERS pickup. Great health benefits. Good vacation policy.
Health care coverage is the best I've come across.
