‘You acquire time off. You can also gain more time off with overtime if you get any. The little stress is great ’
‘Could be more consistent and it depends if you get some one willing to develop you’
good place to start work there on city of san Diego
There’s no pension and we don’t pay into social security. They city drags their feet
They provide a lot of benefits.
Receive 3 weeks paid vacation but sick is included. Get dental, vision, and medical. 401k contribution. And life insurance.
Pretty good benefits, including 4 weeks of paid time off, a strong retirement savings plan, and full medical coverage.
If you're already vested your 10 years into social security, the current pension plan is rich. Health insurance options very good. Benefits overall better than private sector.
You are given 4 1/2 hours a pay period in time off for vactional/sick leave and every work fiscal year you are give 24 hours of time off as well. The city gives you a set amount of money to go towards benefits which is enough to give yourself medical, dental and eye. But you pay out of pocket for family/spouse.
No more for new hire
Awesome benefits available through the City! Had a medical issue last year and was shocked by how little I needed to pay out of pocket.
Health insurance plans are good with good price for employee only , if you are adding your family you will pay more ..
