Embark Veterinary Benefits

Embark offers an average amount of the standard benefits you expect from an employer - health insurance, 401k program, etc. A few negatives about the company bring it down to a 3 star rating - difficult to actually use your vacation time, and no $401k match for example. However, a few unexpected perks move it back up to a 4 star - $250 credit on rover and free access to One Medical (back before it was bought by Amazon anyway).

Summer Fridays and working hybrid are the best parts.

Benefits are nice, the vacation policy and company perks make you feel like a valued employee but the health insurance is a little less than desirable.

The only drawback of the benefits is that the health plan is through Aetna. So far they are not as good as my former benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts in that they don't have as much coverage with my existing providers and we either have to pay more or change providers.
