What does a Banking Center Manager do?
Banking center managers oversee the daily operations for a banking center or financial services provider. They lead and supervise a team of banking associates and other staff members, and may be responsible for hiring and recruitment efforts. They play a lead role in driving sales programs and planning marketing campaigns, and may also handle PR and community relations. Managers often establish programs to educate staff and customers about financial products and services. They are accountable for ensuring staff and the facility adhere to all federal banking laws and other applicable regulations.
Banking center managers typically have a bachelor’s degree and a strong background in banking or a related financial field. They must have strong leadership skills and a focus on sales and generating revenue. These roles often require S.A.F.E. Act registration and may involve other licensing requirements, along with security clearances and background checks.

- Assist in overseeing the operational functions of the banking center and provide support to staff.
- Support a wide range of internal clients (product, sales, client delivery, and technology) and external corporate clients.
- Ensure necessary reconciliations and audits are completed timely and accurately.
- Actively participate in banking center meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Measure and manage sales based on daily / monthly / quarterly / annual budgeted goals.
- Assist clients with concerns or questions regarding their accounts.
- Open accounts, assist with processing and taking loan applications.
- Coordinate the implementation of national and regional sales and service initiatives.
- Develop rapport with customers, greeting customers by name, understand account ownership type and authority, being responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, while displaying a caring attitude.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in accounting, business or engineering.
- Experience with applicable systems and software such as General Ledger.
- Prior experience as a consultant.

- Can work with clients to help make decisions, solve problems, and with planning.
