What does a Bus Dev Director do?

Technical product managers use their extensive technical backgrounds to assist engineering teams at an organization. They uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements, working with internal teams including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance team members, and operations. They ensure requirements are fully understood and that the implementation plans match initial expectations.

Technical product managers must understand, research, and follow trends in the industry and assess emerging products and companies to measure them for potential value or threat to the company and its products. They follow competitors and conduct capability analyses regularly and provide internal and customer training on using products. They answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities and assess and address technical risks. Technical product managers need a degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related fields.

  • Stay abreast of new technology capabilities and leverages knowledge in contributing to product solutions.
  • Work closely with the team to define lidar perception team goals and roadmaps.
  • Manage incoming operational escalations, analyze issues and implement long term solutions.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories through frequent and direct contact with customers and partners.
  • Interact with stakeholders in VOC requirements-gather, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
  • Track statistics of product adoption by customer base and translates feedback into enhancement recommendations.
  • Review database data through queries to ensure requirements meet business data needs.
What are the typical qualifications for Bus Dev Director jobs?
  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, computer science, engineering, or information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Can participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums.
  • Experience with Cloud, APIs, SaaS, Jira and SQL software and systems.
  • Experience with UI design.
  • Is a leader and collaborator with the ability to prioritize and problem solve using solid critical thinking and attention to detail.
