What does a Compliance Auditor do?
Compliance auditors are responsible for ensuring facilities or businesses are adhering to specific laws, industry regulations, or other mandated policies. They may perform forensic audits to review financial records and accounting history, evaluate contracts to determine if terms are being met, or conduct inspections to verify the facility is meeting established standards. They also perform investigations and may respond to reports of potential violations. They frequently educate business owners or employees about relevant regulations and assist with developing a formal plan for rectifying any issues.
Compliance auditors generally have a bachelor’s degree in a business field or an area that provides them with expertise in a specific industry.
