Is it acceptable to use the logos of companies you've worked for on your resume? On one hand it is eye catching, but on the other there might be legal implications on using a brand asset. Thoughts?

Hi all, I’m looking to pivot into an entry level Finance role, ideally FP&A. I have a Mathematics degree and 2 years at Accenture in tech consulting and operations, where I developed strong analytical and Excel skills working with data and stakeholders. I’m seeing many entry level FP&A roles still ask for finance experience or qualifications. Any advice on entry routes, study paths or how to position myself would be really appreciated. Open to connections.
I’m seeing a lot of career pivot posts lately. I wonder what’s driving all the change. Is it AI reducing jobs? Is it boredom? Even I am looking to pivot a little within my company due to the level of opportunities in my current role. Why are you looking to pivot into something new?
I must have had about 50 interviews. I have a great resume with more than 20 years experience and impeccable references but somehow I continue to get rejected due to qualifications. I am now 50 years old. I dress appropriately and have my cover letter, resume and references printed out and put into a presentation folder to present to possible future employer at time of interview. Is anyone else having the same problem? I just don't understand. I sometime spend more than 30 min being interviewed
I received a job offer to an Amazon DSP company. The interview went great, everything seemed extremely positive. I completed the entire onboarding process and was only waiting for my background check to come back before starting training. The app said I would receive an email within 10 days with next steps but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything, the recruiter hasn't answered my calls or responded to my texts and there's no other contact info online. Do I give up or hold out?
I am 65 and want to work, but getting hired on at this age is close to impossible. I want a real job with a Good Salary, not minimum wage, when I ve worked in Management. It is So hurtful and humiliating to have to lower your standards. I've been in the job market for 15 years now. I even went back to school at 50 yrs old and got my Paralegal Degree and also went to school at 60 yrs old for Life Insurance Lic. with no luck. Any suggestions on how to proceed. let me know?
You are not using it to make any money/ profit out if it (in complete sense of with that logo) and as long as this is the case, it is not a case of IP infringement. So based this, it is not wrong to use the logo of the firm you have worked with on your CV/ Resume. Hope this helps.
That’s not how trademark law works. Profit doesn’t determine whether you’re allowed to use someone else’s IP. They have the right to decide where their logo goes, with the exceptions of fair use, comparative advertising, and parody. Using it on your resume might come under fair use, but it also might confuse the applicant tracking systems that a lot of companies use to scan resumes. It I think it’s a bad idea.
It is a matter of choice. Personally, I don’t feel logo makes too much of a difference in a resume.
I haven't seen any resumes with the logos of companies. I wonder if it will put any impact on the CV. Still, worth a try.
This is an interesting question. It made me wonder if people ever add a QR code that links to the businesses they worked for or even a QR code to an applicant website or video.
That's a good idea :)
LinkedIn uses their logos and I don't think they seek any permission for that.
