Constant sense of failure. It often takes a few years to do much more than pay your bills. They say you can earn $100k a year, but over half the company earns less than $30,000 a year. Almost all... of your clients will come to regret doing business with you. There's no calculable ROI and leaders constantly say that the readers love the publication, so the ads must get seen. But you will field constant cancellation requests and it will grind you down. 2020 has ruined all the things that made this job great. It's basically like selling Cutco knives except the clients hate the product
Advice to Management
Stop drilling the cultish message that "the program works." Even if it did in the past, 2020 has wrecked the franchisee experience. Ad design is terrible, and there isn't any effort to brainstorm... the ad message. Facebook campaigns are even worse. Stop promoting sales leaders into management roles. Instead of supporting your franchisees in the pandemic, you let them push a "tough love" sink or swim program.
