Current Employee - Scientist

I have been working at Cancer Research UK full-time

Pros

Many lots big-list tonnes several

Cons

Cant think of any right now.

Current Employee - Business Manager

I have been working at American Health Information Management Association full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

location on Michigan Avenue and Wacker benefits

Cons

Revenues are down, and AHIMA is unable to produce the number of products and services planned over the last few years. This means ahima cannot provide for the profession as it should. Lots of... resources are used by executives to hire consultants and for travel to europe where ahima will not be able to sell HIM products because europeans have national health insurance and don't need coders or certification holders (that are needed with private health insurance.)

Advice to Management

Learn to treat staff with respect. Hire staff and keep them instead of paying $$$$ for consultants. Give up on "influencing" the EU $$$$ and focus on U.S. HIM professionals. Hire effective... executive staff, not just friends.
