Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

work life balance and pretty decent company

Cons

Slow growth in the career aspect

Current Employee - Senior Staff Technical Writer

I have been working at Xilinx full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

We get to be on the cutting edge of new products and make a direct contribution to the company's success. Xilinx has matured as a company, and while it demands a lot of dedication of its employees... and management, it also gives us a great place to work and some really interesting challenges that keep everyone engaged. The corporate values of Excellence, Teamwork, and Accountability are visible in every part of the organization. There are a lot of long-tenured employees here who have stayed because of the company and culture.

Cons

The company is spread out globally, which makes some collaboration between offices difficult. There are sometimes 3-4 (or more) time zones needed in a meeting, and it can be difficult to schedule at... times that work for everyone.

Advice to Management

Keep investing in the employees and their growth. It's working!
