Current Employee - Process Associate

I have been working at Labcorp full-time for more than a year

Pros

Salary,bonus,work life balance,career growth,very good company

Cons

No cons.All is well.Good company

Current Employee - Clinical Secretary

I have been working at WakeMed Health and Hospitals full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Co-workers are great (mostly) Management really cares about the staff and have an open door policy Pay is good Wake share employee assistance program ample overtime room for growth

Cons

while the pay is good, it needs to be better the PTO is a shared bank for your sick time and vacation you're only allowed 5 sick days a year! (INSANE) they allow you to make up days you miss, but you... have to work an extra shift to do so and many times within a certain time frame and on certain days.

Advice to Management

Pay our nurses what you're willing to pay the contract nurses and you might have more permanent staff. While Wakemed tries hard to pay their employees well, they need to do a better job at paying the... hard working and committed employees better than the base rate they pay everyone. Merit raises are great, but they are really based on a whole, rather than the individual. I get paid the same doing my job and going above and beyond, while the person who sits on their butt at the nursing station gets the same pay. This is a major reason why many of our amazing employees move on.
