Advice to Management
Keep up the good work
I worked at Experiences for Mankind for more than a year
Social, fun office environment. Open to new ways of doing things. Appreciative of employees' efforts. Very nice and supportive management. Potential for growth in the company. Nice office and... amenities (kitchen, comfy furniture, etc.)
Safe, risk-averse work. A lot of focus on research into what has worked in the past (click-rates, etc.) and replicating that, rather than coming up with new ways of doing things. This is... understandable in the digital world, but made me realize my job will be completely replaced by robots in 5 years. If you are a designer, you may become frustrated in not being able to contribute conceptually. Often, concepts are decided for you, and you will be asked to carry out someone else's idea without a chance to weigh in. You may have to fight to be heard (which is true of most places, really).
Advice to Management
Do away with the hierarchy of designer / art director & just split up responsibilities equally. Will eliminate the disrespect an experienced designer inherently feels when they are relegated to being... primarily a production artist.
