Featured Review

I worked at Quicken Loans

Pros

1. Excellent work life balance 2. Opportunities to shadow other teams 3. Multiple events are organized for interns 4. Good technical teams 5. A lot of benefits for full-time employees

Cons

The only con of the internship program is the low internship salary rate. It does not meet the industry standards at all. No demarcation between graduate and undergraduate interns.

Advice to Management

The management should work on restructuring the compensation policies so that it attracts better talented candidates from all across the country.

Current Employee - Underwriter II

I have been working at United Shore full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

The benefits and amenities are excellent, and health benefits and PTO are able to be used after only 30 days with the company.

Cons

Base compensation is below average throughout the company. Most teams have the opportunity for bonuses, but you can't earn them working a "firm 40". One mistake can also cost you the entirety of that... bonus, based on how many of your loans are audited but not how many loans you actually worked in a given month. Leadership is cliquey at best and opportunities for advancement are based more on who you know and how much your leader likes you than your knowledge or experience.

Advice to Management

Nobody in a company this large should be making less than $15/hour, anyone who isn't in senior leadership or top tier sales deserves a raise. Let everyone work from home until covid is less of a... concern. Stop claiming that the people in the office want to be there. Most of them don't and were forced to come back in. Unpack all of the negative reviews you've received here and address then from within the company instead of trying to defend it.
