Former Employee - Marketing Executive

I worked at REED full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

REED has a supportive working environment. I was fortunate enough to start as an intern and work up the career ladder. When expressing my desire to work within a more creative role, I was given the... opportunity to move from recruitment into the marketing team. There is so much opportunity to progress your career here. The company always pushes co-members to share their ideas to help the company become bigger and better. For such a large company there is a great sense of community with director level members remembering your name and appreciating your work. I have made friends for life during my time at REED and even to this day colleagues still continue to stay in touch and support one another on Linkedin.

Cons

There is still a uniform dress code which is a little out dated, this has been modernised over the years but still old fashioned for 2020. Technology also isn't the most up to date and can be... frustrating when not working correctly.

Former Freelancer - Customer Service Representative

I worked at XLN for less than a year

Pros

Sunday offs. Adequate salary.

Cons

Many cons. 1. The manager will harass you for making sales. They'll pass comments. No smile on thier face although if you work nicely. 2. Need to buy my own meals. Only tea is served free. 3. They... want a sell from newbies within a month. Disgusting! 4. Pay scale could have been better. Less incentives. 5. Making sales is hard. The managers and team leaders don't care about our health. They will harass you if you are late for a minute. 6. The customers will waste your worthy time. They'll abuse at any cost.

Advice to Management

Please change your attitude towards your employees. They are humans not a robot. They require time. Be like a manager and try to hike the salary fir better living standards.
