I have been working at Thames Water full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

you work by yourself and are mostly left alone. your outside which is good in nice weather.

Cons

too much of a boys club and useless qualification. no develepment.

Advice to Management

actually pay attention to tech's and site's not just when it suits you. managers are a complete waste of time they only care about looking good not improving sites. they dont actually manage anything... other than there reputation and paperwork. site ownership is a joke. tech's are viewed by there site's performance not theres. if someone has been on the same site for 11 years then he struggles if he goes to another so they keep him there and say hes a good tech.
