I have been working at Threadneedle Investment full-time for more than a year
Pros
Good base salary, usual benefits. Some good people. Ambitious plans for next few years. Performing well when compared with peers. Well respected global brand.
Cons
Outdated technology. "Who you know" culture. Limited options for progression within company. Bonuses and pay rises are not in line with the positive messages regarding company performance which are... drip-fed to staff throughout the year. In house talent not used to full potential. Reliance on third party solutions which are often delayed and poorly implemented.
Advice to Management
Make the most of the talent within the firm. Overhaul IT. Have clearer career progression options.
