Junior Accountant

I have been working at US Department of Defense

Pros

good overall working, and excellent environment to staff and good security which makes trusts the employers to work with confident and give best output.

Cons

nothing from my view point.

Former Employee - Program Assistant

I worked at Army Family and MWR Programs part-time for more than a year

Pros

You get to bond with some of the kids and watch them grow and mature. Sometimes you get to eat snacks with the kids or watch movies with them.

Cons

Very understaffed, it was always a problem if someone called in sick or quit because there wasn't enough people to cover all shifts. The interview process is too long, it takes three months after... the interview to know if you got the job. Because you're hired through the military you're expected to attend training and read ridiculously large manuals.

Advice to Management

Please stop trying to manipulate people from using their off days.
