Current Employee - Senior Experience Designer

I have been working at Zynga full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Challenging Work: Every game is different in the sense that it has its own design language and interaction patterns. As an experience designer, you get to work on new challenges with every new... feature in the game which demands good amount of research and design process to nail down on an optimum design solution. Ownership & Responsibilities: Best thing about working at Zynga is that you own your work. How we as an individual or XD function can contribute to the success of our games is completely driven by us. Zynga trusts in their employees and expect them to deliver with responsibilities. You will not see any micro-management culture in Zynga. Growth Opportunities: Zynga provides enough growth opportunities to shape your career as you want. Your current quality of work and dedication is appreciated much more than your previous background or degree. Collaborative Environment: Gaming is a very fast paced industry and to match up with that pace collaboration is the key. Zynga has the highly collaborative work culture between different functions (Design, Development, PM, etc.). Best in the corporate I have seen so far! Taking Care: Zynga takes good care of their employees with a good work-life balance.

Cons

Gaming in India is still an emerging field. So, most of the games we currently work on are targeted for players in global western countries.

I have been working at Bombay Play full-time for less than a year

Pros

It has been around 6 months since I joined Bombay Play as a software engineer. the work environment is quite stable here with full of fun activities. I enjoy every movement while working in a team.... Co-founders are really supportive and give regular feedback/appreciation to the teams which keep us motivated. Some other Pros 1. Amazing work culture 2. Flexible working hours 3. Regular TGIF every Friday 4. Amazing team members to work with 5. Sharp learning curve 6. Helpful Colleagues 7. Really like the initiative of regular feedback from employee and acting on it proactively.
