Does ASDA have a pension plan?
Pros
Some great colleagues and a decent job for a student looking to earn some extra money
Cons
There is a massive divide between senior managers and everyone else. You can be called into work at very short notice and don't get appreciated for doing so. They tend to offer 1 day a week contracts almost forcing you to work overtime but because your contracted hours are below a certain threshold, you don't qualify for benefits such as pension scheme
Advice to Management
Need to be more friendly and approachable to staff and need to show more appreciation to hard workers who cover a lot of extra shifts.

Does ASDA offer parental leave?
Pros
At the end of the day it’s a job that pays
Cons
Absolutely zero organisation from management, anything you tell them goes in one ear and out the other Expected to do overtime even when you’ve already told them that you’re unavailable for more than your contracted hours Terrible communication about maternity leave/pay, no risk assessment done whatsoever Constantly understaffed and so two people end up doing a 4/5 person job regularly Management have no intentions of bringing in enough staff because they’re more worried about saving money than the efficiency of a department or the physical/mental health of employees You could drop with a heart attack while working and they’d either step over you or follow you to the hospital begging you to get back to work that’s how much they care
Terrible communication about maternity leave/pay, no risk assessment done whatsoever
