What is health insurance like at Amadeus?

Pros

Does Amadeus pay for a gym membership?

Pros

That is a place in which your work has a global impact that can shape the future of travel, but you still have work-life balance. Moreover, that place is friendly which you will have support whenever you need and always full of joy with plenty of fun activities to choose from during break time(play FIFA, board games, cards, ping-pong, running....)

Does Amadeus offer housing assistance?

Pros

Salary, desktop, management, free coffee, work-life balance, showers

Cons

Poor tech culture, lack of technical vision, old practices. Very expensive and low quality housing around.

Advice to Management

Identify tech leads for every team and don't fill positions at all cost with "low cost"consultants

What is the retirement plan like at Amadeus?

Pros

They have good benefits like retirement, provident fund, stocks investment. Opportunities to travel abroad for work.

Cons

Minimal initial offer, minimal annual increase, HMO provider is not at par with other HMOs in the market. In my department, there's no room for movement/promotion (hence increase as well) unless you transfer to other teams. Position levels are composed of 2-3 levels so if you transfer teams and you're still at the same level, it's called lateral transfer, hence no salary increase. For example, CSP from L1 Helpdesk to L2 Helpdesk is considered a lateral transfer.

Pros

Very good salary (much higher than country's average wages) Meal and transportation allowance Possibility to work from home Nice multicultural environment Coffee machine in every floor Relocation package includes paid go and return flights Benefits Continuous staff training Opportunity to travel in other Amadeus locations Flexible schedule Holidays Possibility for in salary advance (very useful for the first days) Private medical insurance scheme

Cons

Formal dress code No private space between the employees desks Administrative procedures between different departments can take ages Sometimes tasks can be repetitive and boring Too much bureaucracy Too many pointless meetings They don't assist newly appointed expats in order to obtain the necessary public documents No help regarding the accommodation search

Advice to Management

Less bureaucracy and never ending organization charts and departments! Help new foreign employees to find a place to live and to obtain a NIE!
