The internship scheme would benefit from a final presentation day where all interns were able to meet up and discuss what they have been doing during their placement. This would enable interns to get a real insight into what the other teams across the business do on a day-to-day basis.

Anglian Water is not an efficient company and poor value for customers can be widely seen across the business. Disorderly in the way it conducts business (poor process, discipline and structure). Poor car schemes (unless Sr. manager). Does not utilise people to their best potential (in my opinion) Does not value experience/ expertise outside of Anglian Water and the water industry.

Bring in Sr. management from other industries (consumer goods/ manufacturing would seem good) into the business with true commercial experience. Drive a culture of cost reduction to benefit the customer (sizeable bill reductions are certainly easily possible). Improve data capture across the business (including partners). More robust processes for managing and controlling partners/ contractors with the appreciation that there focus is on making as much money as possible.

Friendly people and as soon as I joined I felt welcomed by not only my co-workers but also senior management. Managers were positive and you feel like you add a sense of value to the company. Good company benefits unlike other companies I've worked for.

IT can be slow and unreliable. Supported about the prospect of moving to different departments within the company, but in reality its difficult to move in between them unless you've been there for a while.
