From start to finish, I was offered support and guidance from all members of staff, who took their time to ensure my professional development was achieved. I was exposed to a number of opportunities and tasked with various projects and pieces of work which have furthered my understanding of the wastewater industry and allowed me to contribute to the on-going hard work that catchment quality team do. I have obtained key skills and experience that will benefit me in my future career path.

At times, there was a lack of structure to the internship, which suited me as I prefer to work flexibly and reactively to issues/work coming in. However, others may benefit from a more structured style with various deadlines and an overall project. More interaction and progress meetings with the interns in other departments would be beneficial too.
