What is overtime like at Animal Logic?
Pros
Interesting projects. Fully-stocked kitchen and free lunch bi-weekly.
Cons
Company severely lacks diversity and lacks PoC in leadership roles. A lot of closed door conversations and red tape with adhering to the way the Sydney studio runs. Mandatory overtime. No salary negotiation even after 1 year of service.
Advice to Management
Diversify your team. Re-hire former employees. Artist Managers should check in with artists regularly without it being about poor performance or contracts. Actually take steps and develop people in the studio and within teams rather than boxing them in their current roles.
Mandatory overtime.
