What is the salary like at Austin Fraser?

Pros

- Good basic salary/ commission/ incentives etc - For anyone brand new to recruitment, the training here provides a great overview of how to work in recruitment - You do become like a family with your colleagues (can be both good and bad) - A flexible working approach, but trust wasn't fully established across the business - Central office location - If you are looking for career progression there is a clear path of how to reach targets and achieve promotions

Cons

- Depending on your team, there is still a micromanaged environment - A business still heavily focused on KPI's, very high expectations - If you pull an account you might have to fight tooth and nail for it if they decide to move your focus, you can expect your colleagues to earn all the commission whilst you need to find new accounts and you seem to just have to accept that. - A recent restructure has seen many highly experienced consultants let go and lower paid grads employed

Advice to Management

Management were starting to be more hands on towards the back end of my time here picking back up the phone and working with clients. Prior to this it seemed there was an unnecessary amount of time spent in irrelevant meetings. It would be good to have management work with their employees to open and grow accounts for the whole team.

What are other benefits and incentives like at Austin Fraser?

Pros

Good offices, base pay is ok, commission is market average, 'brand' is flashy

Cons

if you don't make it to the 'inner ring' you are not welcome. Staff turnover is now at a critical level and a lot of top level consultants have left. Office is now full of juniors. Anything other than working 8am-8pm is unacceptable. More concerned about creating flashy graphics for the next incentive than actually talking to their staff about the internal issues.

Advice to Management

Time to sort out the rot before you get bigger. You will not expand successfully further with this sort of culture. Stop asking staff to post on Glassdoor monthly.
