new CEO hired a lot of people who seemed to be his friends and none had any experience of the industry....Senior managers do not allow any progression into other departments, and often discourage contact with other depts. poor communications between departments and they have problem with favoritism

Apparently having knowledge of how things worked, who are customers were and how to serve them and also how to sell didn't matter to the new management team. Instead, they decided to hire incompetent people for a ton of money who were either friends or family, had little skill, no knowledge of satellite or frankly anything. Such a shame. Be very aware and don't listen to the bull they're selling.
