What is working from home like at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina?

Pros

Good pay and benefits, work from home, Used to be good company.not anymore

Cons

Constant changes from upper management, disconnect relationships with team leads, constant changes of policies and procedures from.upper management, you address and brought up the issues but no one listened and seems no one is addressing the issues they care more on cutting down expense than keeping good and experienced employees, the upper management advised of work balance but the front line staff actually works 10 to 12 hrs a day just to.meet the deadlines , upper mngt are out of touch and so unaware of their team leads bullying behavior (afraid of retaliation?)

Advice to Management

Investigate the treatment of your TL and management to people on the lower level as they are fleeing so fast,before you know, all your qualified good worker will be gone and absorbed by your competitor, people who do the real work are your backbone not the high paying upper management and TL who doesn't tell you the real problems why people are leaving your company, investigate and truly resolve the issues ., savings can be obtain somewhere else but good people are hard to find.

What is overtime like at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina?

Pros

-Pay is good -The job duties and work are easy to adapt too

Cons

-Management rarely talk to employees -There is favoritism -Management is uninformed as to the duties and particulars of the staffs job so they do not know how to resolve issues and so they give incorrect information -Many of the senior staff are there for questions, yet they are annoyed and at times rude, dismissive and aggressive when asked -There are no supervisors for staff, technically there are but they don't actually manage staff and rarely respond -Contract staff forced to do overtime but do not get time off and are penalized for taking time off even if they make up their hours -Toxic behavior of senior employees during the rare staff meeting is brushed off, such as snickering, rolling eyes, etc -Resources to do the work are scattered to the nine corners of the earth -management refuses to update staff when one of the many work resources have been updated -management is unproffesional

Advice to Management

Train management to do better and engage with their staff.

Contract staff forced to do overtime but do not get time off and are penalized for taking time off even if they make up their hours
