What are pay raises like at Centene?
Pros
Finally get to work solely from home, decent 401k benefits, okay bonuses, young Female CEO
Cons
Low pay, small pay raises like 25 cents, depending on manager work life balance is limited, hourly not salary, lacks sufficient trainers for training, given almost 4 weeks a year for vacation that does not roll over, only four sick days given a year but does roll over, have to make an appointment to speak to managers otherwise only communication is through email or IM, constant interruptions unable to complete work day without constant group chat questions or meetings (not allowed to place on do not disturb even for one hour), and upper management "leadership" such as senior managers, directors, vp’s in the Centene Corporate sector has little to no diversity (there only a few diverse upper leadership managers and directors only seen within the individual healthplans).
Advice to Management
Stop overbooking your (manager) schedules to only reflect meeting after meeting- make time for employees to be able to talk to you. Raise salaries to help with cost of inflation of food, gas, and shelter (cost of living) especially for employees making under 80k. Its stressful on employees who are burden by the rapid rise of cost of living with low raises to offset the difference to fully be focused.
