Does Charles Stanley have a pension plan?
Pros
Good pension plan, industry standard other benefits. Friendly relaxed culture.
Cons
Poor career progression, small number of investment manager roles available and no clear succession plan for trainee investment managers. No sales culture at all.
Advice to Management
Standardise career progression/roles and build a sales culture.

How are the career development opportunities at Charles Stanley?
Pros
There are absolutely no pro's to working for Charles Stanley
Cons
If you are considering working for Charles Stanley, bare the following in mind: - The pay is way below the industry average - Non-senior staff are overworked - Staff are hired and fired rapidly, especially contractors - Lack of career progression opportunities - Lack of employee incentives - Bullying is very common practice, particularly from senior staff - Expectations from senior management are very unrealistic - Senior staff have minimal engagement with non-senior staff - The IT systems, compliance and processes are very dated - Senior HR Business management have a track record of not investigating grievances and terminating staff who are medically signed off I would avoid Charles Stanley and look on the market for more reputable wealth management firms.
Advice to Management
Advice was sent to management via the internal customer satisfaction survey, however I have no confidence that any major points will be taken into consideration.

How are senior leaders perceived at Charles Stanley?
Pros
Decent office location and coffee Brokers are were very friendly
Cons
Pay was terrible Lack of real leadership Continuously found mistakes even in annual reports where CFO was fired Investment banking arm fell apart after only a few months No growth opportunities Eccentric firm where most things dont really make sense
Advice to Management
Listen and don't fire people for being dogmatic .... thats what they are there for!

How is management perceived at Charles Stanley?
Pros
-benefits -7 h +1h lunch break -some colleagues are fun and nice being around
Cons
-everyone complaining about pay grade -overtime, everyone is running from it as they do not get incentives for it, as salary is low and overtime is calculated based on that -management takes decisions without knowing anything about what is happening, at lower levels -huge disconnection between departments -investment managers have to be reminded by management to behave nice to other employees -yearly bonuses and raises around the 2% mark -company core values and mission statement were created just for face value (mission statement seemed more like a 3 year plan, actually referring to 2020) -noone cares about you, especially your line managers. Will leave you under the buss, hopefully not being the ones that threw you there.
Advice to Management
Start involving lower level employees and get their opinions on things concerning the company.
investment managers have to be reminded by management to behave nice to other employees
