Does Cognizant Technology Solutions offer dental insurance?

Pros

1) When not on client site, you get to work from home 2) Global company with huge resources 3) Digitally-forward company should keep it competitive for the foreseeable future 4) Standard benefits package, including health insurance, optional dental and vision, identity theft protection, etc. 5) Lots of people in my practice are really nice and smart. My direct manager is awesome

Cons

1) Pay is below that of its peers. Raises and promotions were cancelled in 2019 (when our peers were having banner years), and bonuses were slashed. Most years I've been with Cognizant have seen bonuses below target, despite my earning one of the top 2 marks on my annual evaluations 2) Just to reiterate my first point, in case you missed it... they CANCELLED promotions and raises in a year where every other consulting firm was crushing it. Coincidentally, Cognizant declared a massive shareholder dividend in the same year 3) For those making over $120k/year, your 401(k) contributions are capped at just $9,500 4) Very few vacation days relative to peers (associates start with 10, and can slowly earn a couple more as they move up in the company) 5) Some project leaders STRONGLY discourage you from using your time-off (I've been asked to cancel previously scheduled vacations on multiple occasions) 6) Warm-body staffing model. They will place you on projects based on availability, regardless of interest or skillset 7) Heavy emphasis on staff aug as opposed to strategy work (fine for some, but if you're coming from a top MBA program, this likely isn't what you signed up for) 8) Terrible margins compared to our peers. Resources far less experienced and skilled from other firms earn a higher hourly rate from clients 9) The structure of the consulting organization has been significantly changed almost every year I've been with the firm. It's hard to keep track of where you sit 10) Despite having some really smart folks in the organization, overall talent is clearly a step below its peers

Advice to Management

1) Prioritize employees over shareholders 2) Revamp the consulting staffing model to account for skills and interests of your associates 3) If you plan on hiring MBAs, let them work on business and strategic challenges rather than technical/development-focused work

4) Standard benefits package, including health insurance, optional dental and vision, identity theft protection, etc.
