What is health insurance like at Fractal?

Pros

Free food, flexible working hours, working from home, fantastic office, medical insurance, maternity and paternity leaves, good work life balance to an extent depending upon the project you are in.

Cons

Product team I worked with is just below par. Leaving aside a few new folks, no one in the team has experience in building products and the entire team is frustrated for the same. The team has seen two senior people leaving at the same time but still no questions were raised and I am sure many more quality people will leave Fractal just because of this insane leader and it's toxic followers. Seems much like dictatorship where a sub par leader is been leading a group of people heading in no direction. I do not know how Srikanth or other investors are turning blind towards it. No output in terms of the product or the engineering. This product team is hurting the brand value of Fractal and is putting to flames the people first policy. People just cannot call themselves as Startup or agile without having the culture of a startup or the eagerness to grow and succeed.

Advice to Management

Open your eyes and measure the tangibles. Do not get fooled by words or a dummy vision which no one knows how to achieve. Be more strict and have some tangible output target for the product teams. This rating is just because of the product team and the 1 star I am giving because of Fractal and its values and I know how much efforts Srikanth takes in keeping people first policy but boss keep a track of your product team and believe only in the man of material rather than the man of words. Challenge people with challenging questions and track the progress on regular monthly basis.

Does Fractal offer sponsored degrees?

Pros

Good company to work except for AP team

Cons

There is no timeline to our reimbursement. Account payables function with lack of responsibility and ownership. They act no less than goons, and if there is anything to be claimed as reimbursement, it would easily take more than 4 months and that too at the mercy of the payables officer. Worst possible experience so far co-ordinating with finance team. Average officers with below average communication skill. It is totally affecting my overall experience of working with fractal. I don't have any grudge with them, but I am amazed by the way they function themselves as a unit (totally inefficient), and aren't even worried about their performance.

There is no timeline to our reimbursement.
