How are senior leaders perceived at Frontier Airlines?

Pros

free flights if you can get on them.

Cons

ultra low pay. next to nothing for pay raises. holiday bonus for everyone was a coffee cup. don't plan on working here to get rich. director level and above got huge bonus but everyone else didn't get anything. low morale and bad leadership. owner wants to make money since he is an investor but that trickles down from barry biffle down to everyone that you are expected to be overworked and not compensated. they want to drive down the wages for everyone. if you are union they want to do everything they can to get rid of you. they follow the spirit airlines method of outsource everything possible (that is stated in spirit SEC filing and Frontier follows it closely). barry biffle gets paid $500,000 a year according the initial SEC filing and i worked there 10 years and barely cracked $40k. this is now a bad company to work for and i am glad I am gone. too bad there is not a 0 star rating, i had to give the lowest possible.

Advice to Management

get a clue about your workers needs. pay the market rate in each city not what you think it is. when i asked what my job pay range was I got the runaround and when I asked my supervisor I never got an answer. there are lots of politics and drama and gossip rampant and the people i knew hated working there. pay more and don't think that feeding people will make them happy. they are there to earn a paycheck not a free meal.

low morale and bad leadership.

What are some insights into the strategy or vision at Frontier Airlines?

Pros

They don't seem to fire anyone. Some contractors are nice.

Cons

No one seems to care. No sense of urgency. Not a lot of creative people solving problems. No clear understanding of the architecture or code base. Everyone runs around looking busy in meetings, but solving none of the real issues. 401k doesn't even start to match for 1 year. Pay is lower for the industry.

Advice to Management

If issues are brought to your attention, don't just shrug and move on or say "we know". Try and help resolve these issues!

No clear understanding of the architecture or code base.
