How are promotions handled at GE Aerospace?
Pros
- Decent pay - Unlimited PTO - Flexible schedule
Cons
- I worked under DISE/DTS - the organization under Chris Carissimi at the time. Almost his entire leadership structure is cowardly, entrenched in croneyism, and not interested in the employees they are supposed to be serving with their leadership. COVID has only made this worse, with layoffs only affecting the workers, not the leaders - Not enough diversity - Nothing gets done, it is more important to them that you suck up to leadership and that you check a box -No process for annual raise or promotion opportunities. Their yearly development reviews are a joke and only matter if you are in someone else’s pocket
Advice to Management
Hire and promote leaders who know what they’re doing rather than just your friends. Listen to understand the people you are supposed to be serving, rather than pretending to listen. Raise up more diverse voices. Support other people, not your own ego.
No process for annual raise or promotion opportunities.
