Does GoBolt offer parental leave?

Pros

Bolt is growing like mad and it's amazing to be part of a company that is recognized in the industry as leading the charge and being unique in our space. The CEO maintains a strong grasp on the fundamental mindset that he wants to see from the business and its leaders and is not shy remind us to keep us on track. It's cool to see some of the new initiatives (parental leave top-up, wage progression) getting pumped out from the People team.

Cons

This place moves fast and will challenge your skills in decision making. It's not for everyone and having a do what it takes to get it done attitude is going to be critical to being successful here.

Does GoBolt offer an employee assistance or workplace counselling program?

Pros

- High growth company, lots of opportunity to have high impact by building new processes and ways of working. - Entrepreneur spirit: everyone is part of the team and voice is heard. if you have a great idea, leadership wants to hear it. There has been a lot of change and moving to B2B from B2C is exciting and definitely the right business move. - People are very friendly and intelligent. With so many new people on the team, we have a lot of eagerness to make this company thrive and succeed. Everyone you meet is willing to support you. - Good pay. New benefits program. Flexible work and supportive management. - There is lots of opportunities for career growth, you just need to seek them.

Cons

- A lot of new people on the team, meaning not a lot of institutional knowledge available. Sometimes it takes time to find answers or information on historical processes etc. - Dealing with ambiguity: we are new and people need to think out side of the box at times to get things done. This is not a con, but a watch out for anyone who is looking to sit back and have a cushy job. -

Advice to Management

- Keep going and pushing for growth. - Get an intranet for knowledge sharing. it will help with cross functional empathy and understanding. - More training across the company.

Does GoBolt offer unlimited holiday?

Pros

- CEO Mark Ang is an amazing leader. He doesn't shy away from speaking to anyone and is quite genuine in his approach. - Lots of cool data to work with. - Your work has direct impact. - Flexibility in work environment - hybrid in nature but willing to be flexible if need be. - You work with many talented individuals, and the collaboration is beautiful. You really get to witness and be part of how extraordinary work gets done in a high growth firm.

Cons

- As a junior I was a shared resource with a "generalist" experience. Thus, I was never really an expert in one category. (which is not exactly a con except for the fact that I was given tasks from manager to manager and nobody would take the time to mentor me) - Never really had any feedback in my work, nor any one 1:1 meetings to speak about my performance or get any sort of leadership. - Onboarding could use some work. In my personal experience I was expected to find a way to integrate myself without being left behind. - Emphasis is put on managers, managers have 1:1 meetings, and are taken care of quite well, juniors have meetings cancelled on them, there is just no time for junior staff.

Advice to Management

Don't hire junior staff unless you have proper structure to mentor your junior staff, and find ways to promote growth for them. Take ownership over fostering growth in your employees, especially those that you demand tasks from. Otherwise, they will leave.
