The pay is above average and very comfortable, including a bonus paid in cash and shares. The benefits are great, including food for all meals. Professionally there is room to grow, and you're surrounded by smart people who inspire you.

Cons

It can be tough to turn yourself off from work sometimes. I found myself pushing myself always to achieve a lot, and I had to figure out how to establish boundaries. If you can do this, it is fine, but you need to manage it yourself.

No opportunity for growth or pay raises Was told when I took contract that I had the opportunity to convert after one year to FTE but was stuck as a TVC and was laid off due to budget constraints.

Advice to Management

Hire more FTEs and stop relying on TVC employees to run Google.

ESOPs ..... Great quarterly bonuses..... Lots of flexibility...... Strong support during COVID....

Cons

Excess competition to move up.... Hiring senior folks to start at lower roles.....
