How are senior leaders perceived at Graduate Fasttrack?

Pros

Good people - you all drag each other through each day. Good location - didn't have to be in Central London every day.

Cons

This company fires people even if they perform well. Lots of us were let go as the company was in too much debt. They needed to save costs so rather than asking a few senior employees to take pay cuts they fired lots of the consultants. 50% of the company. They fired the top billers and kept on underperforming people which in any recruitment company is odd. The company is run by people that don't know how to run a business and unfortunately we were made to pay for that. Such a huge focus on money. Even if you are performing well but just not quite getting the 'deals' in you are frowned upon. The only target is money and no one cares what you do as long as you are making enough of it. Poor decision making from leadership. The person that owns the company didn't work there or have anything to do with the business. Management would make him out to be a god-like character and always talk about how much pressure they were under because of him. We never met him either so it was an odd situation. We all got the impression that his only focus was money and that he didn't know anything about recruitment or how to effectively run a business. No one seems to care - Most employees doss around as they know they'll get paid at the end of the month. I would say most people here work for around 2 hours a day and mess around for the rest. They actually got rid of a couple of the only employees that worked hard. Crazy. No training - absolutely no ongoing support - you just get shouted at when you've done something wrong and expected to learn from that. No work/social life boundaries. Lots of drink and drug chat in the office which can make you feel uncomfortable. Open drug use on nights out making you feel peer pressured to partake yourself. Quite an awkward environment on a Monday morning to say the least.

Advice to Management

Stop having so many cigarette breaks and actually do some work. That or just let someone who knows what they're doing have a go.

Poor decision making from leadership.

Are employees at Graduate Fasttrack generally happy and/or satisfied?

Pros

I have finished uni a week and a half ago and applied for a role through Graduate fastback and have now secured the best job I could have got as a kick start for my future career plans ! Everyone is so lovely and supporting. They make sure you are comfortable and yourself. My Recruitment Consultant that helped me throughout my process was Tom, he was so helpful from the moment I had my telephone interview with him all the way to the last stage of the interview process. He made sure that I was prepared to the best of my ability and without his help I definitely wouldn't have secured this job ! So thanks for that Tom !

Cons

nothing bad to say at all
