What is health insurance like at Kellogg Company?
Pros
The company benefits are great - from great healthcare coverage and incentives to summer Fridays starting in March and jeans every day, the benefits are hard to beat. Traditional brand marketers have a set career growth plan, but other roles really have to advocate for change. Salaries are fair and high for the area.
Cons
Morale is extremely low. New senior leaders say they want to get to the bottom of it (via the Global Opinion Survey) but bigger changes are needed as good, smart people are leaving in droves. Workloads have been increased with no increase in headcount, leaving people overworked and frustrated. In the ZBB world, travel is reduced greatly with $150 hotel rate maximums even in cities like NYC or Chicago. No cell phones are provided and stipends have been reduced to a handful of employees. Many managers are poor leaders and even with negative reviews, they continue to manage and drive their people away. Onboarding is very poor and people are often thrown into roles with little/no experience. The HQ location is in the middle of a run down, low-income city with nothing to offer outside of the walls. Executives don’t even live in the state - including the CEO. Employees are told that flexible work arrangements are encouraged but it’s difficult for people to actually get approval for it on a regular basis.
Advice to Management
Be transparent with employees about the survey and actions that will be taken quickly. Listen to the middle and lower level employees, not just the executive and senior leaders. Be real and open/honest with the company.

Does Kellogg Company offer relocation assistance?
Pros
Dress for your day - Jeans acceptable Flexible work from home with Manager discretion
Cons
They consistantly take away benefits including cell phones, travel, relocation, increased health costs, etc. The latests was cutting our summer hours in half when this was one of the Pro's before...this isn't helping drive the Kellogg culture.
Advice to Management
Listen to your employees, they are working 50-60 hours and if having a "Friday afternoon off" but still getting all their work done makes them happy, what is the harm?

Does Kellogg Company offer dental insurance?
Pros
Strong company history, decent equipment, all the overtime you could want
Cons
Huge disparity between "transitional" and "legacy" compensation/benefits. Be prepared to earn 42% less than the person next to you doing the same job. They hire based on the "opportunity to gain regular employment" but this is a mirage. The goal is to keep it just out of reach, meanwhile you can be forced to work 16 hours a day. Also, no dental insurance, no paid time off or 401k match for a full year.
Advice to Management
You have succeeded in dividing the union employees into the haves and have nots. Congratulations, you will now deal with more turnover and will struggle to attract decent employees by undercutting the market with substandard wages.
Also, no dental insurance, no paid time off or 401k match for a full year.
