What is the hiring process like at Knott's Berry Farm?

Pros

Working with a lot of people is great. I met new friends and new people because knott's hires a lot people. It's a fun work environment within the staff.

Cons

Management really works you to the max!!! Park services supervisor and manager expect everyone to be working at full speed. They do not like park services attendants to walk at a slow speed. Other managers expect the park to look spotless and call in small trash/details and this comes with over-working park services staff. They tend to undervalue your work.

Advice to Management

Consider treating everyone fair! Park services work much harder than other departments and they get paid much less. Cleaning feces should come at a greater pay. Management shouldn't expect people to work at full speed, by speed-walking changing trash in seconds because that is why a lot of people quit or transfer to other departments.

What is the salary like at Knott's Berry Farm?

Pros

If you're looking to study and work at the same time, perfect, you came to the right place. Knotts management will ask for your schooling schedule, and prioritize your availability over their needs (holidays, exception). There's a strong communication between employees and supervisors, so long as you take initiative sometimes. There's also plenty opportunities to gain experience in various locations, and so skills.

Cons

Slow seasons can be damaging to your bills, or personal priorities, as hours are cut and shared among the other employees. There are also so many ways you can get in trouble for. Pay is minimum wage plus yearly raise, and that's it if you're a seasonal hiree.

Advice to Management

Management needs to improve in regards of who they hire, and how many they're hiring.

Does Knott's Berry Farm offer a yearly bonus?

Pros

- Easy to move up the leadership ladder. With these opportunities in leadership, I have been able to achieve personal growth as a young adult entering in the workplace.

Cons

- The rate of pay is HORRIBLE. Even when you move up in management, the increase in pay is non-existent or extremely minimal. As a full time employee, the annual bonus is a few cents an hour only to account for the minimum wage increase.

Advice to Management

Make improvements in pay based on the equity theory. Assess the value, contributions, and time in employees and relate that towards the individual's rate of pay.

As a full time employee, the annual bonus is a few cents an hour only to account for the minimum wage increase.
