Does Lowe's Home Improvement have any sort of mentoring programme?

Pros

Pay, workplace culture, bonuses, and exceptional management.

Cons

Company culture discourages termination of employees that are burdensome, those that display poor work ethic, in addition to those who directly effect their team negatively and instead of removing the problem employee the management attempts to promote an atmosphere of mentorship all the way down the corporate ladder from the CEO mentoring a executive team operating underneath him/her continuing all the way to the Customer Service Associates found in every Lowe's home improvement store in the country.

Advice to Management

Don't underestimate the need our specialists have for the assistance CSA's provide. Better customer experience can be provided if our specialists are not occupied with a task unrelated to sales.

Why do Lowe's Home Improvement employees quit?

Pros

Was great for a long time and then they went with Ultimate Home Services and now no installer speaks English, no one knows what is actually going on and will run around the customer any and every chance they can.

Cons

Lowes is a jokes with idiots running a declining store. They shook things up but it backfired as the good employees and managers with actual knowledge of things were fired or let go and the bulk of the remainders are incompetent or lazy. Instead of copying Home Depot 3 years after they do something, maybe get an original idea and actually stand behind it.

How are promotions handled at Lowe's Home Improvement?

Pros

The pay is better than other retail and, especially right now (late 2021) there is a lot of opportunity for promotion

Cons

Minimal work/life balance. Schedules done by algorithm which go as well as they sound like they would. Most Kitchen designers with Lowe's are leaving for better opportunities. Poorly run, little heads-up on product changes, very poor customer service.

Advice to Management

Do away with the kitchen program completely. It isn't working and it's screwing people. Customer are going full years without kitchens now because of terrible installer oversight, talent drain, and poor supply chain management.
