What are sales commissions like at Lowe's Home Improvement?
Pros
This is still one of the best positions at Lowe's; Health Insurance was great but has declined to moderately good at this time; base salary (although low) plus commission; Personal Effort COULD equal great commissions; can work from home (depending on manager); Some good managers, but many have poor management skills.
Cons
Benefits have declined; Multiple changes in district and regional managers has kept the same two cycles over and over just in different names and form(eight managers in 19 years); difficulty in acquiring adequate sub-contractors; Greed- Consistently raising margins when not necessary making it difficult to continue making a decent living; varying degrees of store support depending on Personalities, which many are very poor; expect a 75 to 80 hour work week; Great employees are overworked to compensate for the marginal employees,
Advice to Management
Concentrate on Volume business by creating and providing an exceptional project and an exceptional Customer Experience at a reasonable price. The resulting volume would be a tremendous increase in sales; work at a better Sub-Contractor solution, not a one-and-done customer experience; Great employees are overworked to compensate for the marginal employees. Share more of the profits with the great employees to make their lives truly better and that will make Lowe's a TRULY one-of-a-kind greatest places to work.

How often do employees say they are paid at Lowe's Home Improvement?
Pros
Good periodic gifts and good variable pay on time pay, good culture and not that pressurising.
Cons
They forced us to change our career paths from QA to different profiles and during COVID , we had no other option but to change n now I am facing the heat
Advice to Management
Do not pressurise a scrum master to just take up more pods n call it an expectation. A scrum master does more than that and please be familiar with agile so that management wouldn't make mistakes in identifying good talent further.

Cons
Doesn't give out sign on bonus and I do think Home Depot has more goods then Lowe's

What are pay raises like at Lowe's Home Improvement?
Pros
good 3 weeks vacation to start good benefits very HR friendly environment has nice lunch days for staff and event every so often
Cons
over work you because your on salary, will work from 40 to 60 hours They do not train you when you get the roll They add more and more responsibilities on you very poor pay for employees in general raise in pay is a joke
Advice to Management
use your skills elsewhere unless it is you first chance at a managers job to gain experience
