Pros

-Quarterly bonuses if you meet sales goals. Full timers get the full bonus, part timers get half of it. -10% discount -Coworkers are usually pretty cool people -Safety parties and free food maybe once a quarter -The CEO is a pretty cool guy and will give raises or bonuses from time to time whether your store made goal or not

Cons

-DIY Customers assume you are an expert in the field or a retired handy man -If your department does installs, but you don't have a specialist, then you are in charge of doing the job of a specialist for no extra pay or commission -The hours are all over the place -About 2-3 times a year they will slash the part timers hours down to 4 hrs a week if anything -Store Management could care less about you sometimes.

Advice to Management

We are just people. We make mistakes, we need to see our families, we need time off for work life balance. You guys do not prioritize the employees in your store at all which leaves us feeling bitter. It's why turnover is so awful.
