Does Lowe's Home Improvement reimburse for mileage?
Pros
I loved my experience on the job here, everyone here is so friendly and wants you to continue learning about the job and merchandise both for your benefit and for the customers'. The job was fairly easy for the most part with stocking and cleaning. The customers were always friendly and patient with us when we were short staffed also.
Cons
scheduling is horrible. It hops between who schedules who in each department, my direct supervisor would do it one week, and the HR rep the next week. I asked for no more than 20 hours a week during the summer because I was taking summer classes for school and I was repeatedly scheduled between 25 and 35 hours each week. I understand things happen and people call out so I have to cover for people which I don't mind, but my grades started slipping in school because I was repeatedly being scheduled over my time limit. If you want flexible hours, this is not the place for you.
Advice to Management
Make hours more flexible, then the employees will have a better work ethic and will stay with you longer, that way you have employees that are more experienced and can better train new hires. Balancing job and life is very important to most employees.
