Does Mitchells & Butlers offer parental leave?

Pros

Good connection with other brand managers

Cons

The company puts very very little into it's people and are only about the profit, often leaving you with no budget for the simple things like napkins, toilet roll or hand soap. As the general manager you are given a very tight labour budget meaning you have no choice but to work 70 hours a week, often by yourself running the kitchen and front of house. The rbm's often don't care and simply say "it's your job". (You don't get paid any extra for these extra hours that you work) infact, you will only get a top up if your weekly wage falls below minimum wage for 4 weeks consecutively. (Then it's topped up to minimum wage only). Oh and you can forget about annual leave. You're expected to work that too if a member of staff goes sick. I worked a whole month without a day off whilst 3 months pregnant and that was just expected. To "suit business needs". Worst company I have ever worked for. It took for me to step out of my comfort zone and leave to try something else to realise just how much they take you for granted.

How are the career development opportunities at Mitchells & Butlers?

Pros

Generally great people to work with that really care about what they do. Pay, benefits and flexibility are also good and very much opportunities to develop if you choose to or if you want to gain further qualifications to better support you in what you are doing is very much possible.

Cons

None that I can think of, would just be prepared to work some long hours now and then which I think is fair ask a it is not expected or a regular occurrence
