Pros

I love working here because of three reasons 1) my director and assistant directors care about me and support me in whatever I do. They give me the necessary resources to make the patient experience program successful. They also listen to all of my concerns and welcome my suggestions 2) The people here are great to work with! I love my coworkers and I enjoy working here. Everyone from the cooks, wait staff, and dishroom staff are friendly. Because I love my job, the day goes by quickly and I look forward to the next day of work 3) Benefits are pretty good. Compared to my last job (which is also a healthcare company) this company offers pretty good benefits (health insurance, PTO, etc). I'm paying much less now for health insurance compared to my last job so that's a win!

Cons

There's a lot of turnover in the food/retail industry and it can be frustrating. Hiring and retaining the right people is not easy, so there are days when we are short-staffed and have to work harder and longer hours. But I don't mind.

Pros

-flexibility -career building -respectful employers -great health insurance

Cons

-underpaid -feel overworked -lack of resources (technology, in my area)

Advice to Management

I enjoy working for Morrison Healthcare, however, I do feel overwhelmed and over worked majority of my days at work. I feel that the hospital we are contracted with does not see the importance of my job. They never seem willing to help expand when given opportunities. I am working understaffed and unable to take off when needed/necessary. It would be nice if Morrison could help the companies they are contracted with understand the importance of all that is offered to them.

Pros

As a US Army veteran transitioning from 10 years of active service Morrison Healthcare provided me with an opportunity to relay my military experience in food service management and education into a promising career with an exceptional company. I’ve been with Morrison healthcare over four years and I don’t plan on leaving until I retire. Pros: Senior Leadership access Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package Family Environment Set parameters to follow Ideal balance between leading your area and oversight from above Opportunity to upward mobility

Cons

While there is not a perfect place to work anywhere, my current position at Morrison Healthcare has very few cons: The reporting chain can shift The goals of the client may at times collide with the goals of Morrison Healthcare While these would be cons, both have the ability to be navigated.

Advice to Management

The only advice I would give is to maintain accountability as I’ve been shown. The company’s continued transparency will bring in a loyal base. Also, some of the mandated reporting requirements are redundant.

Pros

Morrison Healthcare is full of opportunity for growth and development, both personally and professionally. They have the resources to support and advise their team members and they take the time to do so. I've worked with other healthcare companies and this was not my experience- I am grateful to be part of this organization and feel valued and appreciated (and compensated) for the work that I do.

Cons

As with working with any larger company, there was a steep learning curve with new programs and software. Insurance benefits could also be better.
