Pros

Many good team members who want to do their best. Service to the customer is a focus.

Cons

Lack of leadership with a long vision being communicated to bank staff.

Advice to Management

Another employee survey just taken AGAIN to assess what is going on. How many surveys are needed if they all continually reflect similar results, lack of strategy and vision because of poor leadership. No surprise that many of my associates are actively looking for a better career elsewhere, including me. The significant layoffs and restructure of this past spring continue to haunt. Talent let go and now needed by attempting to reaquire with recruiters. One of the prior and most effective executive leaders and motivators of the bank continues managing loans with limited if any leadership involvement since restructure. Indications of the craziness. No more surveys required, we all know the problem!

Lack of leadership with a long vision being communicated to bank staff.

Pros

Used to be a great place to work. Good people-staff, management, departments, and customers. Work was interesting, empowering, and able to run as your "shop". Benefits were very good. Felt like working with family. Building relationships with customers

Cons

No advancement opportunities for managers. Not favorable to advancing women. Local leadership loves to hear themselves "talk". They say they want to listen, but speaking up gets you unfavorable notice. Difficulty managing local reputation of bank. Moving to digital to impact bottom line for shareholders

Advice to Management

Lack of knowledge in market has resulted in unfavorable views by the communities served. Decisions to move, close or combine offices with quality customer service reviews leave customers to feel abandoned and as if they have no value.

Local leadership loves to hear themselves "talk".
